The City of Baliwag underwent the Department of the Interior and Local Government (D.I.L.G.) Manila BAYani Awards and Incentives Validation on Sept. 17 after being named one of this year’s national qualifiers.
The validation was conducted at the Baliwag Star Arena, where the city’s programs and initiatives focused on environmental protection and management were assessed.
Among the areas examined during the validation were the city’s solid waste management, liquid waste management, and efforts in managing communities located in vulnerable areas.
The validation served as an opportunity to assess the city’s environmental programs and initiatives and their implementation across different areas of the community.
The city government recognized the participation of various City Government Offices, partner agencies, and Baliwagenyos in supporting environmental initiatives. Their collective efforts contribute to the implementation and sustainability of programs aimed at addressing environmental concerns in the city.
The recognition as a national qualifier also highlights the city’s continuing efforts in environmental management and community participation.
Following the validation, the city government reiterated its commitment to continuing programs intended to promote a cleaner, safer, and more orderly Baliwag.
Through the continued cooperation of government offices, partner agencies, and residents, the city seeks to sustain its environmental initiatives and strengthen efforts toward responsible environmental management.
