Hechanova dives in Palaro 26, bags 12th place

Kurile Miles Hechanova scored the waves with another milestone at Palaro Tu Agsur, by clinching 12th place out 20 competitors with a time of 5:02.11, in the Secondary Girls 400M Freestyle, at Datu Lipus Makapandong Sport Complex, May 26.
Heading four years into the national stage, Hechanova steps into the 13 and above secondary girls division this era, finding herself faced upon tighter competition.
Meanwhile, acquiring gold for the 400M secondary girls freestyle was CARAGA’s Breanna Aaliyah Erno with a time of 4:38.33, followed by NIR, Kacie Tionko, 4:45.20 and Region I Makayla Fetalvero, 4:50.94 on the clock.
“Earlier sa 400m I was really trying to stay calm because I was competing with other female swimmers that are older or just my age,” quoted from the swimmer.
The 8th grader’s main tactic was to stay composed through every lap, ensuring she follows her game plan, tempo and technique.
Despite trouble with an unfamiliar pool, the swimmer maintained a positive outlook by self encouraging a new personal record.
Representing region III and Baliwag, Hechanova continues to strive forth with every stroke, dragging the pride of a young athlete who continues to inspire herself with family and national swimmers.
Hechanova’s next discovery will be on May 27, playing as the anchor in the 4×50 freestyle relay.
