A beat-driven heart.
That was the foundation of D’Grind’s resolve—to have a heart that strives to kindle passion for dancing amongst individuals who have never been granted the opportunity to face an audience. With familiar beats fueling their drive, dancers in Baliuag City, Bulacan, alongside D’Officials, Kych Minemoto, and Jhayvot G., conquer the stage with boundless energy and dazzling moves.
As the sun inched lower to the ground, countless families, friends, and students filled each corner of the Baliuag Star Arena on April 20, 2026, flooding the venue with thrill, and the dancers with adrenaline.
Opening up the stage was The Black Eyed Pea’s “Bebot,” with each performer bearing hues that pieced together the Philippine flag—a display of true Filipino pride and resolve, while remaining steadfast in igniting fire to people’s hearts.
Once the dawning song danced its final beat, applause roared from the audiences—then came another rhythm. Then another. And another.
The songs traveled in waves which felt natural—smooth, and the audiences basked in what seemed to be a melodious paradise. Speakers hummed songs from ITZY, “67”, and Hey Daddy “Daddy’s Home”, which encouraged cheers from audiences bearing witness to D’Grind’s D’Purpose Dance Concert 2026.
With all performances withdrawn from the chamber, D’Grind concert hosts take a moment to express their gratitude and appreciation for the event which held many hearts in one stadium. Capturing the essence of D’Grind was Gary Valenciano, a singer and actor, through a video greeting showcased to awestruck audiences.
Trailing after was the awarding ceremony, where D’Grind once again welcomed the most dedicated dancers on the glimmering stage of the Baliuag Star Arena. St. Mary’s College of Baliuag’s very own Francheska Magno was crowned as the “Best Dancer” for this year’s D’Purpose Dance Concert, gracefully bringing an end to the memorable moment D’Grind left behind.
With beat-driven hearts, D’Grind surmounted the uncertainty surrounding untold hearts—that dancing wasn’t just an extracurricular, but an ambition longing to be chased like a game of neverending tag.
And a beat—was all it took.
